Head of Maintenance & Facilities

Due to continued growth, our client, a well-established and successful food manufacturing business in Co Tyrone, is looking to appoint a Head of Maintenance & Facilities. This is a senior leadership appointment and a genuine opportunity to shape and lead the entire maintenance and facilities function within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
The successful Head of Maintenance & Facilities will take full ownership of all maintenance, facilities and engineering activity across the site, reporting at senior leadership level and leading a structure that includes a Maintenance Manager, Shift Managers and Maintenance Engineers.

The Role:
- Take full responsibility for all maintenance and facilities activity across the site
- Lead, develop and performance manage a team including Maintenance Manager, Shift Managers and Maintenance Engineers
- Own and deliver the planned preventative maintenance programme, driving reliability and minimising downtime
- Manage all CAPEX projects from scoping through to delivery
- Manage contractor relationships, ensuring safety, quality and value for money standards are met
- Drive continuous improvement across engineering, reliability and facilities
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety, food safety and environmental legislation
- Manage the engineering budget and report on KPIs to senior leadership

The Person:
- At Least HNC in Mechanical, Electrical or a related Engineering discipline or Time Served Maintenance with more than 5 years Maintenance management experience.
- Significant engineering leadership experience within FMCG or food manufacturing
- Proven track record managing maintenance teams, CAPEX projects and contractor activity
- Strong knowledge of PPM systems, CMMS and asset management best practice
- Commercially aware with solid budget management experience
- A hands-on leader with the credibility to lead from the front and develop those around them
