Job Vacancy: Head of Maintenance
Location: Princess Christian Care Centre, Knaphill, Woking Surrey GU21 2SJ
Contracted hours: 37.5 hours (to include some weekend working when needed)
(Hourly) rate of pay: From £17 depending on experience
As the Head of Maintenance, you will enjoy being part of an exceptionally supportive team, welcoming you into providing outstanding support to the Home Manager and leading a maintenance team by allocating, checking, and reviewing the home improvement plan to ensure our residents living at Princess Christian Care Centre are living in their best environment.
The perfect role for you
Being a natural leader, you will enjoy working independently and leading the maintenance team within the Care Home. This role will require you to action both planned and reactive maintenance issues and prioritise in terms of urgency, ensuring all areas are free from hazards and all equipment and systems are in full working order.

Responsibilities
The Head of Maintenance responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Providing maintenance services in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements and relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager.
- Maintaining the service and the grounds, ensuring all areas are free from hazards and all equipment and systems are in full working order.
- Actioning both planned and reactive maintenance issues and prioritise in terms of urgency.
- Working independently and leading the maintenance team.
- Supporting the General Manager with annual budget planning.
- Liaising with contractors on jobs that fall outside the expertise of the maintenance team.
