What will this role achieve?
The Head of Managed Convenience is part of the C&I Leadership Team and owns the strategy and execution in the Managed Convenience channel, which includes Co-op, Nisa, Spar, BP, High Street & NI. The role spans across Sweet Biscuits, Savoury Biscuits, Snacks, Cake and Confectionary with brands such as McVitie’s, Jacobs, Mini-Cheddars, Go Ahead and more.
Leadership is key in this role where through a very capable direct and indirect team the Head of Managed Convenience will seek to understand, influence and align pladis and customer strategies to deliver and exceed our yearly Budget.
What will be your key deliverables?
- Deliver Managed Convenience P&L.
- Build a strong and strategic relationship with customers, directly but also across multiple cross-functional functions.
- Design and implement plans for 1–3 year strategic JBP across Branded Biscuits, Snacks and Cake categories.
- Dovetail both the Pladis and the customer’s business strategies to drive mutual, category growth.
- Execute margin-creation initiatives whilst maintaining customer support and growth.
- Coach and develop team of 12, including 5 direct report members to deliver pladis & customer agenda.

Bring your experience
- Experience in owning the customer agenda and internal P&L for a scale customer.
- Proven recent experience in Convenience or Grocery at Controller or Business Account Manager level.
- Highly developed negotiation skills.
- Developed knowledge of category data and fact-based selling.
- Proven track record of developing and executing customer growth plans.
- Cross functional experience either directly or indirectly would be an advantage.
- Line management and mentor experience.
