Head of Management Accounts

Pinnacle Group are looking for a Head of Management Accounts. This is a senior finance leadership role responsible for the quality, accuracy and timeliness of management accounting and financial reporting across the Group. Leading a team of 6-8 finance professionals, including a mix of Finance Business Partners and Management Accountants, you will ensure a robust, well-controlled month-end close process and the production of high-calibre monthly reporting that gives the Senior Leadership Team the financial insight it needs to drive business decision-making.

This is a hands-on leadership role, combining technical accounting rigour, strong people management, and the ability to business partner effectively with senior operational and financial stakeholders across a large, multi-divisional organisation.

Our Finance Team is part of our Central Services, providing expert support to all areas of the business. They help ensure our operations run efficiently, embrace best practice and stay financially strong – enabling our teams to deliver on our mission to Transform Communities and Change Lives.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with proven experience leading, managing and developing a finance team, ideally within a complex, multi-site or multi-entity environment. Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience of management accounts preparation, month-end close and balance sheet control in a high-volume, multi-entity environment. Experience within housing, facilities management, outsourcing, contract services or a similar sector, together with knowledge of contract commercial models, mobilisations and margin management, would be advantageous.

This is a 18-month fixed-term hybrid contract requiring attendance at our Holborn office two-three days per week, with the remaining days working remotely. The role is paying £80,000-£85,000 depending on experience with a performance related bonus of up to 10%

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
