Head of Manufacturing Finance Operations
Derby (Hybrid - 3 days a week on site)

We are pleased to be able to offer an exciting opportunity to join the Manufacturing Operations Finance Team as the Head of Manufacturing Finance Operations in Derby.
This is a key role within the Manufacturing Operations Finance team, leading the Business FP&A and Statutory reporting team and processes across the business reporting into the SVP Manufacturing Finance.
The Head of Manufacturing Finance Operations role is accountable for delivering insight and a forward-looking view of business performance ensuring that the MBU Leadership teams have the right financial information to drive performance through their MBU’s whilst simplifying the reporting burden and ensuring consistent KPIs are being monitored.
What you will be doing:
- Lead the financial forecasting process for Manufacturing Operations. Work alongside MBU FVPs, Finance Planning Manager, P&C, Manufacturing & Civil HQ to deliver integrated plans to ensure timely submission of forecasts that embed agreed targets & align to agreed MBU financial accountabilities
- Lead the Manufacturing Operations HQ team to provide consolidated MBU actuals, forecasts and ad-hoc requests with insights into performance, trends & focus areas to improve. Ensure development of a standardised KPI and reporting structure for the MBUs
- Accountable for statutory reporting for Manufacturing Operations.
- Perform an effective review process of financial results prior to finalising reporting of Actuals and Forecasts, to ensure data quality and integrity of key MBU financial KPIs
- Finance Business Partner for the Manufacturing and P&C leadership teams, including alignment of SORB Load/Cap to financial planning requirements and challenge of productivity targets. Lead on Ops level STH & productivity metrics
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, including sponsoring improvements performed within the team or leading larger change projects
- Lead governance and stewardship/controls across Manufacturing operations ensuring effective integration with Purchasing where appropriate
- Senior oversight of MDM process ensuring efficient MBU structures supporting business need, for Manufacturing Operations and Procurement.
- Leading the MBU Facility Bonus scheme process by validating metrics and reviewing appeals - provide leadership and guidance to HQ team as required.

Preferred qualifications:
- Professionally qualified Accountant or equivalent
Preferred requirements:
- Senior Finance leader who can influence across different levels of the organisation and drive outcomes with the ability to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of individuals and teams
- Strong stakeholder management skills to deal with the senior audience who use the outputs from this role
- Good hands-on knowledge of key Rolls-Royce finance systems, including HFM and VBM
- Can lead in a challenging operational environment and ensure supporting areas take accountability and deliver commitments
- Prior experience within Operations is preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Organised, flexible and resilient
