We are looking for a Head of Market Data Management
We are looking for a Head of Market Data Management to shape a strategic, Group-wide function that strengthens controls, enhances commercial decision-making, and supports scalable growth.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Own and continuously enhance the Group-wide Market Data Management strategy, governance framework, and operating model.
- Act as the central point of contact for all market data requirements, procurement activities, and strategic initiatives across the Group.
- Manage the global market data budget, including forecasting, reporting, cost optimisation, and value-creation initiatives.
- Lead relationships with market data vendors, driving contract negotiations, renewals, tenders, and commercial performance.
- Ensure compliance with market data, index, ratings, and licensing obligations while proactively managing audit and regulatory risks.
- Maintain a comprehensive inventory of market data contracts, services, users, entitlements, and usage rights.
- Drive market data transformation initiatives, including governance, inventory optimisation, usage analysis, and service rationalisation.
- Support strategic business initiatives, operating model changes, and M&A activities by assessing market data impacts and integration requirements.
- Build strong partnerships with senior stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, Procurement, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Technology, Risk, and Investment functions.
- Lead and develop the Market Data Management team, providing clear reporting on costs, savings, risks, compliance, and strategic priorities to senior management.

Your skills and experience:
- Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Law, Information Management, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in Market Data Management, Vendor Management, Procurement, Licensing, or Financial Services Operations.
- Strong understanding of market data products, licensing models, entitlements, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record in contract negotiation, supplier management, budget ownership, and cost optimisation.
- Experience identifying and mitigating licensing, compliance, and audit risks.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects and implementing governance and control frameworks in complex organisations.
- Knowledge of Asset Management, Fund Administration, ManCo/AIFM, or other regulated financial services environments.
- Strong leadership skills with experience developing teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Commercially minded, analytical, and confident in challenging vendor and business demand to drive value.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with a pragmatic and execution-focused approach.
