Role Overview
This is a function-building role. There is no large team to inherit and no established playbook to follow. You will define the marketing strategy for Europe, build the capability to execute it and connect marketing activity directly to commercial outcomes.
You will work closely with our incoming Commercial Director, and across product, sales and operations. The role has visibility at group level and influence across every market we operate in.
You will report into our Commercial Director, and sit within the European commercial leadership team. You will work closely with Andrew, our CEO, and the wider leadership group across the UK, Germany and the Netherlands. You will also work alongside Claire, our HR Director, and Anna Murphy, Group Finance Director, as part of a senior team that is actively shaping what this group becomes.
Most senior marketing roles ask you to maintain something. This one asks you to build it. You will join at a moment when the group has scale, a clear market position and backing to invest - but the marketing function has not yet been given the resource or the leadership it deserves.
If you want to define the brief, set the direction and see your work translate directly into how a business grows across three European markets, this is that role.
Key Responsibilities
Day to day, you will be:
- Defining and owning the European marketing strategy, aligned to commercial growth targets
- Building demand generation across digital, events, partnerships and outbound - and tracking what it delivers into pipeline
- Developing a clear, differentiated brand and value proposition across the group's European markets and brands
- Working with the Product Manager on positioning, messaging and go-to-market plans for new and existing product ranges
- Equipping the sales team with the tools, content and insight they need to win business
- Gathering market intelligence and customer insight to sharpen strategy and inform product direction
- Building and leading a marketing team fit for where the business is heading.
- Owning the marketing budget and holding yourself accountable to clear ROI and pipeline KPIs

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
You have senior B2B marketing leadership experience, with a track record of connecting marketing activity to revenue. You know how to build a pipeline, not just a brand. You have operated in growth-focused businesses - ideally PE-backed - where resources are finite and commercial accountability is real.
You are comfortable building from scratch. You do not need a large established team or a mature marketing infrastructure to get started. You know what good looks like and you can create it.
Strong fit if you have:
- Proven demand generation experience with direct pipeline and revenue accountability
- Experience in B2B product marketing and go-to-market strategy
- CRM and marketing automation platform expertise
- A track record in multi-market or multi-brand environments
- Industrial, manufacturing, workwear or logistics sector experience (desirable, not essential)
- The ability to operate across geographies and work with commercial teams in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands
