Head of Marketing

šŸ“ Surbiton, hybrid - minimum 3 days per week
šŸ’° Ā£60k pro rata - full or part-time

Build the marketing function at a business that's already growing.

Talent Nexus is one of the UK’s largest recruitment media agencies. We now work with 1,300+ recruitment businesses, having grown largely through direct sales, partnerships and word of mouth.

Now we're ready to build the marketing function properly.

This is a rare opportunity to join a business with an established client base, strong partnerships and plenty of room to grow - and own the marketing strategy and execution from the ground up.

You'll report directly to our CRO and work closely with account management, partnerships, sales and inside sales.

There’s no big marketing team or complicated structure to navigate. You'll have the autonomy to decide what good looks like, build the plan and make it happen.

What you'll do

  • Shape our marketing strategy and turn business priorities into clear GTM plans
  • Create client-facing content including emails, one-pagers, performance updates and year-in-reviews
  • Build landing pages and make website updates
  • Develop campaigns around products, partnerships and commercial opportunities
  • Support joint marketing with LinkedIn, Indeed and membership organisations
  • Create materials for webinars, roundtables and industry events
  • Turn client wins, industry news and insight from our teams into content people actually use
  • Keep our brand, templates, decks and communications sharp and consistent
  • Bring in specialist external support when it adds value, while owning the majority of delivery yourself

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

It's a broad role by design.

One week might be a campaign for a new product. The next could be an industry event. Then you might be turning client results into a case study or completely rethinking how we communicate with prospects.

What we're looking for

We think this will suit someone who has done their time in a larger marketing team and is now ready to run their own show.

You'll need to be:

  • Comfortable moving between strategy and hands-on delivery
  • A strong writer with a good eye for design and brand
  • Commercially minded and able to understand what the business actually needs from marketing
  • Practical, proactive and comfortable working autonomously
  • Energised by being the person who owns the function, rather than needing a big team around you
  • Comfortable working closely with sales, account teams and external partners
  • Happy getting involved in everything from campaign planning to building the final asset
