Head of Marketing
Location: London
Working pattern: 1 day per week in the office
Salary: £95,000 - £105,000 + share options
Take a 70,000-subscriber D2C brand to its next stage of growth.
This is an opportunity for a genuine D2C growth-minded marketing leader to join a rapidly growing consumer business and help take it from £10m to £20m+.
Founded in 2019, the business has grown rapidly to a £10m+ D2C brand with around 70,000 subscribers. The next stage is all about growth - and specifically growing the subscriber base. The core customer is the millennial woman, so understanding how she discovers, considers and buys from consumer brands is fundamental to the role. This is a business that has already proven the model. Now they need someone who can scale it.
The opportunity
The previous Marketing hire took the business from 0 to 70,000 subscribers before leaving to take on another D2C growth challenge. Now they are looking for someone who can do it again.
The primary focus of this role is subscriber growth. You'll own the strategy for acquiring more customers, improving conversion and retaining them, while making sure the brand continues to become bigger, more relevant and more recognisable.
You'll have significant commercial ownership, including managing £500k+ of paid media investment every month, with a view to scaling towards £1m per month, while maintaining the efficiency required to make that growth sustainable.
You'll be responsible for:
- Growing subscriber numbers and making this the central marketing priority
- Scaling acquisition while managing CAC, LTV and payback
- Managing and scaling £500k+ paid media spend per month, with a view to reaching £1m per month
- Identifying new opportunities to increase subscriber acquisition and conversion
- Understanding the buying behaviour of millennial women and translating that into growth strategies
- Using customer, cohort and channel data to understand what is driving growth
- Building the right balance between performance and brand
- Developing channels across Meta, Google, TV, OOH, influencers and partnerships
- Strengthening the brand and its position with its target audience
- Leading and developing the marketing team
- Working directly with the founders and wider leadership team
- Building the marketing engine required to take the business from £10m towards £20m+

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme

StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.

Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Who are they looking for?
Someone who has scaled a D2C or consumer brand and understands what it takes to grow a customer base at pace. This could be an experienced Head of Marketing who has already taken a D2C business through significant growth and wants to do it again. Equally, this could suit a Head of Growth who is ready for a bigger role - someone who has the acquisition and performance expertise but wants broader ownership across brand, CRM, creative, team and the overall marketing function.
The primary focus is growth, but this isn't a pure performance marketing role. You'll need to understand how brand, creative, CRM, lifecycle, partnerships and customer experience contribute to subscriber growth, and be able to bring those disciplines together around a clear commercial objective.
You'll need to be comfortable managing at least £500k of paid media spend per month, with the experience and commercial judgement to scale that towards £1m per month. Most importantly, you need to really understand the millennial female consumer - what motivates her, how she discovers brands, what influences her purchasing decisions, what makes her convert and what keeps her subscribed.
This isn't a role for someone who has spent their career in a large corporate marketing function managing an established machine. It's for someone who has built and scaled, enjoys operating in a fast-moving D2C environment and is excited by the opportunity to do it again.

Why this role?
You'll be joining a business with genuine traction, a proven customer proposition and 70,000 subscribers - but there is still significant headroom. You'll work directly with the founders, have real influence over the direction of the business and have the opportunity to shape the marketing function around the next phase of growth. If you're a D2C Head of Marketing looking for your next scale-up challenge, or a Head of Growth looking for a broader, bigger role, this is an opportunity worth exploring.
