Head of Marketing – EV Charging / Premium Consumer Technology
Milton Keynes | On-site, 5 days per week
Intervl is supporting a rapidly growing, design-led EV charging business in the appointment of a Head of Marketing.
The business operates within the premium end of the home EV charging market, combining technology, design, and quality to differentiate its products in an increasingly competitive consumer market.
Following significant growth, the business is looking for a commercially driven Head of Marketing to take ownership of the marketing function and support its next stage of development.
Reporting directly to the Board, this is a broad, hands-on leadership role spanning performance marketing, customer acquisition, brand, CRM, and the end-to-end customer journey.
Importantly, this is not primarily a PR, communications, partnerships, or events position. A significant proportion of the company's sales are generated through paid digital channels, and approximately 80% of the marketing budget is currently focused on Paid Media.
The Role
You will take ownership of the overall marketing strategy and execution, including:
- Managing a substantial Google and Meta Paid Media budget, working closely with specialist agency partners
- Taking commercial ownership of performance marketing, understanding CAC, ROAS, conversion, and channel performance
- Developing acquisition campaigns that deliver measurable leads, customers, and sales
- Managing a multi-million-pound overall marketing budget
- Developing and protecting the company's premium brand positioning around design, quality, reliability, and technical leadership
- Owning the customer journey across paid acquisition, website, quote/enquiry process, CRM communications, and post-purchase experience
- Developing CRM, lifecycle, referral, and customer advocacy programs
- Driving PR, social media, and wider brand-awareness activity as part of the broader marketing strategy
- Working closely with Sales, Commercial, and the Board to connect marketing investment directly to revenue growth
- Leading the internal marketing function and managing external agencies and partners

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience within EV charging is advantageous but not essential.
