Salary: Up to £70,000
Required: 5+ years' experience as a Head of Marketing, Marketing Manager or similar senior marketing role, ideally in an e-commerce or consumer products business selling physical goods.
Who Are We?
We are an established e-commerce retailer with a wide portfolio of brands across the fashion, home, lifestyle, and outdoor categories. We sell direct to consumers through online marketplaces such as Amazon, through our own retail websites, and through well-established retailers such as Next, Argos, and Debenhams.
We're now looking for an experienced Head of Marketing to lead all marketing across the business. This is a rare opportunity to build a marketing function from the ground up: you'll set the strategy, build and lead the team, and own the results across every channel, with the goal of growing brand presence and delivering sustainable commercial growth across the portfolio.
What You Will Be Doing:
You'll own marketing across all our brands, from setting the overall strategy to building the team that delivers it. In the early stages, you'll be hands-on, running campaigns yourself while you hire and develop the team around you.
Leadership, Strategy & Team Building
- Define and own the UK marketing strategy and annual marketing plan across all brands and channels.
- Build the marketing function from scratch: plan the team structure, hire, onboard, and develop a high-performing team as the business grows.
- Set clear KPIs, targets, and ways of working for the team, and create a culture of testing, learning, and accountability.
- Own and allocate the total marketing budget, making sure spend is aimed at the highest-return channels.
- Select and manage external agencies, freelancers, and partners where needed.
- Work closely with the senior leadership, e-commerce, Amazon, and product teams to align marketing with commercial goals, product launches, and promotions.
- Report on marketing performance, ROI, and growth opportunities to the Managing Director and senior leadership.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
