Head of Marketing – Global B2B Events

£70,000 – £80,000 + Benefits
London | Hybrid – 2–3 days in the office

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an accomplished Head of Marketing to join a highly successful, growing B2B events business with an established portfolio of international conferences.

This is a key leadership role for an experienced events marketer who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, bringing fresh ideas, commercial focus and best-in-class marketing practices to the business.

Leading a small, experienced marketing team, you will take ownership of the marketing strategy across a portfolio of approximately 15 international events, driving audience acquisition, delegate growth, brand development and overall event performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing events marketing function
  • Own the marketing strategy across an international conference portfolio
  • Manage and mentor two Senior Marketing Managers
  • Develop innovative, commercially focused campaigns that drive delegate acquisition and engagement
  • Remain hands-on across campaign planning and execution
  • Introduce fresh ideas, processes and marketing best practice
  • Work closely with senior leadership, sales, production and wider event teams
  • Travel internationally approximately 4–5 times per year, including destinations such as New York, Singapore, Cape Town and Nairobi

Qualifications

You will be a polished, commercially minded B2B events marketer with 7–8+ years' experience, ideally gained within conferences or high-level business events.

Required Skills

You will have:

  • Extensive B2B conference/events marketing experience
  • A strong track record of delivering successful delegate acquisition campaigns
  • Previous experience managing and developing a marketing team
  • Excellent strategic and hands-on digital marketing capabilities
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
  • A professional, articulate and confident communication style
  • The ability to lead from the front and positively influence a growing business

Preferred Skills

Experience marketing conferences within financial services, finance or related professional markets would be highly advantageous.

Pay range and compensation package

£70,000 – £80,000 + £10,000 Bonus + Benefits
