Head of Marketing

Location: London, office based five days per week

Salary: £80,000 to £100,000, plus bonus

About the Role

A leading Amazon growth agency is looking for a commercially accomplished Head of Marketing to build its inbound growth engine and support the next stage of the business.

Working directly with the CEO, this is a senior appointment offering the opportunity to progress into a Chief Marketing Officer role as the function develops.

Responsibilities

You’ll take ownership of the complete inbound customer acquisition journey, building the channels that generate demand and personally converting the strongest opportunities into valuable brand partnerships.

You’ll work closely with the CRO and outbound sales team to align target audiences, messaging, and commercial priorities, while taking direct ownership of opportunities generated through inbound marketing.

You’ll have a substantial budget and the autonomy to invest across the website, SEO, GEO, content, email marketing, lead nurture, events, partnerships, and other channels capable of delivering meaningful commercial returns.

You know how to attract the attention of founders and senior executives, create a compelling reason to engage, and lead a sophisticated sales process from the first conversation through to close.

Operating across the full Amazon ecosystem, the business combines commercial strategy with hands-on marketplace execution and flexible, performance-led partnership models.

What You’ll Own

  • The target market: Defining the ideal brand partners, identifying the highest value segments, and understanding the commercial challenges that will motivate them to engage.
  • The proposition: Shaping how the agency communicates its expertise, partnership model, and commercial value, creating a compelling reason for ambitious consumer brands to engage.
  • Brand and authority: Building the agency’s reputation as a leading Amazon growth partner through insight, content, thought leadership, events, and a strong market presence.
  • The growth strategy: Creating the inbound marketing and conversion strategy that takes prospective partners from initial awareness through to signed agreement.
  • Demand generation: Building a consistent flow of qualified inbound opportunities through the website, SEO, GEO, content, email marketing, events, and strategic partnerships.
  • The digital engine: Developing the website and wider digital presence into a powerful commercial platform that attracts the right audience, communicates the proposition, and converts interest into action.
  • Lead capture and nurture: Creating the campaigns, journeys, marketing automation, and CRM processes that capture demand, develop relationships, and move prospective partners towards a commercial conversation.
  • Qualification and pipeline: Owning and developing the inbound pipeline, assessing the quality and potential of each opportunity, and maintaining momentum throughout the sales process.
  • Senior pitches: Leading conversations with founders, CEOs, and C suite executives, understanding their commercial priorities, and presenting a compelling partnership opportunity.
  • Negotiation and close: Developing proposals, navigating objections, negotiating commercial terms, and converting qualified opportunities into signed partnerships.
  • Revenue forecasting: Maintaining a clear view of inbound pipeline value, conversion probability, expected revenue, and the marketing activity required to achieve growth targets.
  • Performance and optimisation: Measuring acquisition cost, lead quality, conversion, and revenue, then using those insights to continuously improve the funnel.
  • The marketing investment: Taking ownership of a substantial budget and deploying it across the channels, technology, talent, and partnerships most likely to generate commercial returns.
  • The function: Building the internal capability, specialist partnerships, technology, and processes required to support a high-performing inbound marketing function.
  • Sales alignment: Working closely with the CRO and outbound sales team to align target audiences, messaging, market insight, and commercial priorities across the wider business.

  • A strong record of building inbound marketing strategies that have generated qualified pipeline and measurable revenue.
  • Broad marketing experience across website strategy, SEO, GEO, content, email marketing, marketing automation, and demand generation.
  • The commercial confidence to develop inbound opportunities and close high-value B2B partnerships.
  • The confidence and credibility to engage founders, CEOs, and C suite executives.
  • Strong pitching, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Experience owning an inbound opportunity from initial engagement through to signed agreement.
  • Experience within Amazon, ecommerce, DTC, retail, or consumer goods.
  • The ability to turn a sophisticated service and partnership model into a clear and persuasive commercial proposition.
  • The commercial judgement to deploy a substantial budget effectively and measure its return.
  • The ability to set the strategy while personally leading priority campaigns and commercial opportunities.
  • High levels of ownership, resilience, and accountability.

  • Experience within an Amazon or ecommerce agency.
