About Smokeball

Smokeball is powering people-law. Our legal practice management software lightens the administrative burden, so legal professionals have more time for the people who need them most.

With offices across Australia, the US, and the UK, we're united by a clear purpose – and that purpose has shaped a culture worth being part of. This year, Wrk+ recognised us as one of Australia's Best Places to Work, and we've been certified a "Great Place to Work" again.

Role Overview

We’re looking for an experienced, commercially minded Head of Marketing to take the reins of our UK marketing function and help us kick things up a notch.

We’ve already built a strong foundation in the UK, now we’re ready for the next chapter. We’re looking for a marketing leader who knows how to make a brand impossible to ignore, create demand, and turn great marketing into real, measurable growth.

This is a role for someone who loves big-picture strategy but isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. You’ll own the UK marketing strategy, balancing brand building with the all-important pipeline and customer acquisition goals. In short: think big, move fast, and make things happen.

As part of the UK Leadership Team, you’ll have a genuine seat at the table, helping shape where we go next. You’ll work across our global teams, partnering with our Australian HQ and US colleagues to bring the best of Smokeball to the UK, while making sure our strategy feels distinctly right for the UK market.

If you’re equal parts strategist, storyteller, commercial thinker and doer, we’d love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

Own and execute the UK marketing strategy

  • Develop and deliver a clear marketing strategy aligned to business objectives and growth targets
  • Balance brand awareness, pipeline generation, and market expansion objectives
  • Translate business priorities into measurable marketing plans and initiatives
  • Represent Smokeball at key industry and partner events

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
