Head of Marketing – Alternative Commercial Finance
Location: Altrincham, Greater Manchester
Salary: Competitive Salary + Benefits
Working Pattern: Full-Time | 5 Days Office-Based
My client is a fast-growing alternative commercial finance lender based in Altrincham, providing flexible and innovative funding solutions to businesses across the UK.
Due to continued growth and ambitious expansion plans, they are now looking to appoint an experienced and commercially driven Head of Marketing to lead their marketing function and play a key role in the next stage of the business's growth.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic yet hands-on marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving brand awareness, customer acquisition, and business growth.
The Role
As Head of Marketing, you will take ownership of the overall marketing strategy, working closely with the senior leadership team to develop and deliver campaigns that generate leads, strengthen brand positioning, and support commercial objectives.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the company's growth ambitions.
- Lead all digital marketing activity, including SEO, PPC, paid social, email marketing, and website performance.
- Drive lead generation and customer acquisition through innovative, targeted marketing campaigns.
- Manage and develop the company's brand identity, positioning, and market presence.
- Oversee marketing budgets, ensuring strong ROI across all channels.
- Analyse campaign performance, marketing data, and customer insights to continually improve results.
- Work closely with sales and senior management to align marketing activity with revenue targets.
- Identify new opportunities to grow market share and strengthen the company's presence within the alternative lending sector.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing function as the business continues to expand.
- Manage external agencies, suppliers, and marketing partners where required.

About You
My client is looking for an ambitious, commercially minded marketing professional who can combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a senior marketing role, ideally Head of Marketing, Marketing Manager, or a similar leadership position.
- Experience within financial services, commercial finance, fintech, or a related sector would be highly advantageous.
- A strong track record of delivering successful lead generation and customer acquisition campaigns.
- Excellent knowledge of digital marketing, performance marketing, and CRM platforms.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to measure performance and demonstrate ROI.
- Experience managing marketing budgets and external agencies.
- A proactive, creative, and results-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ambition to make a real impact within a growing business.
