Following a phenomenal first year of establishing strong momentum, we are stepping firmly into our next chapter of rapid growth at MFI. As a cornerstone of our retail group, we are scaling fast—and we are looking for a commercial heavyweight to lead our marketing team.
If you live and breathe retail, know how to balance brand prestige with razor-sharp performance marketing, and want to help shape the future of a household name in home retail, this is your moment.
What You'll Be Doing
Stepping well above day-to-day campaign management, you will act as the strategic linchpin between our CMO, Executive Leadership Team, and a brilliant internal team of four (including an established Marketing Manager). You'll own the commercial targets, the creative vision, and the tech stack that keeps us scaling sustainably.
- Drive Commercial Growth: Own and govern key metrics including CAC, LTV, and cost-of-sale efficiency, ensuring every pound spent fuels profitable expansion.
- Shape the Brand Identity: Sharpen our core narrative, set the tonal and visual bar, and oversee major hero campaigns, packaging, and unboxing experiences that turn casual shoppers into brand loyalists.
- Scale the Infrastructure: Direct our MarTech architecture, future-proof our first-party data strategy, and manage our external agency ecosystem with absolute accountability.
- Lead Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with Finance, Product, and Operations to ensure commercial margins, inventory lifecycles, and promotional calendars align seamlessly.
- Develop Talent: Mentor and grow our existing team while mapping out our medium-term hiring roadmap.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
