3279 – Head of Marketing – up to £75K – Oxfordshire (Hybrid) – Perm
A growing and ambitious organisation operating within a specialist, customer-focused sector is looking for an experienced Head of Marketing to lead its marketing strategy across the UK and Europe.
This is a senior leadership position reporting directly into the Executive Team, with responsibility for driving brand growth, customer acquisition, engagement and commercial performance through innovative, measurable and data-led marketing.
The successful candidate will be a commercially minded marketing leader who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on understanding of digital acquisition, CRM, brand, content and customer journeys.
The Role
As Head of Marketing, you will own and deliver the overall marketing strategy, ensuring it directly supports ambitious business growth objectives.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering the UK and European marketing strategy.
- Leading and developing a high-performing marketing team.
- Increasing customer acquisition, conversion and retention.
- Strengthening brand positioning, awareness and market share.
- Developing digital marketing activity across paid search, SEO, social, content and email.
- Owning CRM, customer journeys, segmentation and marketing automation.
- Using data and customer insight to continually improve campaign and conversion performance.
- Overseeing website performance, UX and conversion optimisation.
- Working closely with Sales to improve lead generation, nurturing and conversion.
- Developing partnerships and industry relationships to support commercial growth.
- Leading events, exhibitions and customer acquisition initiatives.
- Managing PR, communications and reputation.
- Managing external agencies and suppliers.
- Owning the marketing budget and ensuring strong ROI.
- Developing meaningful KPIs and reporting marketing performance to the Executive Team.
- Identifying new markets, audiences and commercial opportunities across the UK and Europe.

About You
We're looking for a senior marketing professional with a proven track record of delivering measurable commercial growth through marketing. You will ideally have:
- Senior-level marketing leadership experience, including strategy, budget and team management.
- A strong track record of delivering customer acquisition and revenue growth.
- Excellent commercial awareness and the ability to demonstrate marketing ROI.
- Strong digital marketing, CRM and customer journey experience.
- Experience developing and implementing brand and content strategies.
- A highly data-driven approach to marketing and decision-making.
- Experience managing and developing marketing teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence at Executive and Board level.
- Experience managing multi-channel and ideally multi-country marketing activity.
- Strong experience working across lead generation, conversion and customer acquisition.

Experience marketing a high-value product or service with a longer customer decision journey would also be particularly relevant.
You will be commercially focused, strategic and analytical, but equally comfortable getting close to the detail and making things happen.
