Head of Marketing
Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Marketing to lead and execute a strategic marketing agenda that supports ambitious business growth objectives. Reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer, this is a pivotal leadership role where marketing is measured by its contribution to revenue, pipeline generation, customer acquisition, retention and overall commercial performance.
This opportunity would particularly suit candidates from a SaaS, Technology, Financial Services or other B2B commercial environments who have experience aligning marketing strategy with sales performance and business growth.
The Role
As Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a marketing strategy that drives commercial success, strengthens market positioning and supports business transformation.
You will lead and mentor a small marketing team, ensuring they are motivated, developed and aligned with business objectives while building a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and high performance.
Working closely with Sales, Product and Customer Success teams, you will ensure marketing activity delivers measurable results and contributes directly to business growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy in line with company growth objectives.
- Drive demand generation, lead acquisition and customer engagement initiatives.
- Lead product marketing activities including positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategy and sales enablement.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align marketing activity with commercial targets.
- Establish and monitor marketing performance metrics, analysing data to support business decisions.
- Strengthen brand positioning and market presence.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing marketing team.
- Manage marketing budgets and ensure strong return on investment.
- Support customer lifecycle programmes that drive retention, cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience as a Head of Marketing or in a comparable senior marketing leadership role.
- Strong B2B marketing experience gained within SaaS, Technology, Financial Services or a similar commercial environment.
- A proven ability to align marketing activity with sales performance and business growth.
- Experience leading, coaching, mentoring and developing marketing teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and an analytical, data-driven mindset.
- Experience measuring marketing effectiveness against revenue, pipeline and customer growth objectives.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership teams.
- Confidence working in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
- A balance of strategic thinking and hands-on delivery.
