The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced leader in marketing communications and automation, with demonstrable technical expertise in Marketing Cloud, Salesforce or a comparable platform (transferable technical knowledge base and skill set).
As Head of Marketing Automation you will be responsible for the strategic, operational and technical leadership and development of the Marketing Automation function. This role ensures the team delivers high-quality, innovative and effective marketing activity for UniQuest partners while maintaining strong governance, platform stability, team performance and continuous improvement.
This role combines people leadership, technical expertise, data & insights, strategic partner engagement, service development, commercial acumen and cross-functional collaboration. As Head of Marketing Automation you will oversee day-to-day operations whilst driving the strategic development of marketing automations for existing UniQuest partners. You will do so, through a strong data-insight and analytical led approach, ensuring that developments optimise the marketing automation function(s) for the best possible outcomes. You will also draw on these capabilities to drive the overall strategic direction and development of the function and our products/services in this space.
You will be an authority for your remit, confident in what ‘good looks like’, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders both internally and externally. You will drive innovation and change with an acute commercial acumen that enables you to identify new opportunities and execute on the delivery of these.
As Head of Marketing Automation you will demonstrate:
- Strong people leadership and the ability to manage, develop and support teams across multiple locations.
- Advanced technical knowledge of marketing platforms, automation, HTML/CSS and CRM-integrated communications.
- Confidence in senior partner and stakeholder-facing meetings.
- The ability to translate business and partner requirements into scalable technical and operational solutions.
- Strong governance, quality assurance and risk-management skills.
- A proactive approach to innovation, optimisation and continuous improvement.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, complex projects and business-critical escalations.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
