Head of Marketing – Beet It Sport

Are you an experienced marketing leader with a passion for endurance sport and a track record of growing brands? We’re looking for someone to lead the next phase of growth for Beet It Sport – one of the most evidence-based brands in sports nutrition.

Beet It Sport is used across elite sport, from marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge and Tour de France teams to professional American football and NCAA programmes.

Our hero product is a beetroot shot delivering a consistent 400mg dose of dietary nitrate, backed by 300+ independent studies. Dietary nitrate is one of only a handful of performance supplements recognised by the IOC as having strong scientific evidence behind its use, with research using Beet It Sport contributing to the evidence base behind that recognition.

The brand has also built significant commercial momentum. Sales have grown by more than 35% year-on-year in each of the past three years and are currently up 55% year-on-year. We’re now looking for an experienced marketing leader who can build on this momentum, elevate the brand and drive its next phase of growth.

About Beet It Sport

Our mission is simple: to help athletes get more from their training and better results on race day.

Beet It Sport has been at the forefront of dietary nitrate research and sports nutrition for almost two decades. Our shots have been used in independent research by leading universities and researchers around the world, and today the brand is used by hundreds of elite teams and a long list of world-class athletes.

We are now available in 40+ countries, with growing demand internationally and significant further potential across the UK and global markets.

We have an exceptional product, genuine scientific credibility and a strong foundation of sustained growth. The opportunity now is to build on that foundation and take the brand to the next level.

About the role

This is a newly created senior marketing role with a genuine opportunity to shape the future of Beet It Sport.

We have strong commercial foundations and an emerging marketing function. We’re now looking for an experienced marketing leader to bring the different parts of our marketing together under a clear overarching strategy and lead the next stage of growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You’ll take ownership of the UK marketing strategy and annual planning, ensuring our major campaigns, brand activity, D2C, partnerships, events, content and agency activity are all working towards the same overall priorities.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll work closely with the Head of Brand and Commercial, Ecommerce Manager, Digital Marketing Specialist and external agency partners. You’ll have significant scope to shape the marketing strategy, develop the marketing function and build the team and capabilities needed to support the brand’s continued growth.

This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing brand at an exciting stage of its development and help shape the next chapter, rather than simply manage an established marketing machine.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and lead the UK marketing strategy, setting a clear long-term direction for the brand.
  • Translate the strategy into an annual marketing plan, with clear priorities, KPIs and accountability.
  • Lead, develop and build out the marketing function, creating the team and capabilities needed to support growth.
  • Ensure brand, D2C, partnerships, events, content and agency activity are aligned behind the wider marketing strategy.
  • Lead major brand campaigns from strategy through to delivery and measurement.
  • Work closely with our Ecommerce Manager, Digital Marketing Specialist and external agency to accelerate D2C acquisition, conversion and customer retention.
  • Develop athlete, team, event and creator partnerships that strengthen brand credibility and reach.
  • Increase Beet It Sport’s visibility and influence within the endurance sports community and wider performance nutrition market.
  • Support UK commercial initiatives and collaborate with international distributors on brand and campaign activity.
  • Manage and optimise the marketing budget, ensuring investment is focused on the areas with the greatest potential for growth.
  • Use data, consumer insight and market trends to continually challenge and improve our marketing approach.

  • Experience managing external agencies and delivering high-quality campaigns across multiple channels.

  • A genuine passion for endurance sport and an understanding of the culture around running, cycling and triathlon.
