Scottish Event Campus (SEC), Glasgow
The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) is more than one of the UK's leading event destinations. It is one of Scotland's most recognised brands.
Home to the OVO Hydro, SEC Centre and SEC Armadillo, the campus welcomes millions of visitors every year, hosting everything from internationally acclaimed artists and major exhibitions to world-leading conferences and global corporate events. The SEC plays a vital role in Glasgow's economy and international reputation, creating experiences that leave a lasting impression on audiences from around the world.
As the business enters its next phase of growth, New Town Hanover have been retained to appoint an exceptional Head of Marketing & Brand.
This is an opportunity to become the custodian of one of Scotland's best-known brands, shaping how the SEC is positioned, experienced and remembered by audiences, clients and partners for years to come.
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will lead the development of the SEC's marketing, brand and audience engagement strategy, ensuring the brand continues to evolve while delivering measurable commercial growth and reinforcing the SEC's position as a world-class destination for live events, conferences and exhibitions.
The Opportunity
This is a role for someone who believes that great brands don't simply communicate a business, they help shape it.
As Head of Marketing & Brand, you'll influence the future direction of the SEC at a strategic level, balancing long-term brand development with commercial performance. You'll lead an established marketing, brand and digital team, bringing together creativity, customer insight and data to create campaigns that inspire audiences, strengthen reputation and deliver measurable business results.

Working closely with colleagues across commercial, sales and operations, as well as event organisers, city partners and agency partners, you'll ensure every campaign, partnership and customer interaction strengthens the SEC brand and supports the organisation's ambitious growth plans.
This is a rare opportunity to shape not only how one of Scotland's most iconic venues is marketed, but how it is perceived nationally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
You'll be responsible for:
- Setting the strategic direction for marketing and brand across the SEC. This is D2C as well as B2B on the conference side of the organisation.
- Acting as the guardian and champion of the SEC brand, ensuring consistency and excellence across every customer touchpoint.
- Developing integrated marketing strategies that drive audience growth, commercial performance and brand reputation.
- Managing and inspiring a high-performing marketing, brand and digital team.
- Delivering integrated campaigns across conferences, exhibitions, live entertainment and corporate events.
- Championing digital marketing, CRM, customer insight and performance analytics to improve effectiveness.
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, event organisers, commercial partners and agencies.
- Managing marketing investment to maximise commercial return and long-term brand value.
About You
You're an experienced marketing leader ideally from a media or live entertainment background.
You know how to balance creativity with commercial thinking, using customer insight, data and innovation to build brands that influence behaviour and deliver measurable business performance and a track record of leading successful marketing functions and developing brands that people genuinely connect with.

- Significant senior marketing leadership experience within a relevant sector.
- Experience developing and evolving a recognised brand.
- A strong commercial mindset with evidence of driving revenue growth and audience engagement.
- Expertise across brand strategy, digital marketing, CRM and integrated campaign delivery.
- A track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence at executive level.
- Curiosity, creativity and a collaborative leadership style, supported by data-led decision making.
