What You Will Lead
Develop and lead an integrated marketing and business development strategy aligned with Maydencroft's growth and profitability objectives.
- Identify and prioritise target sectors, customer groups and commercial opportunities, developing clear propositions for priority markets.
- Lead the development of a strong qualified pipeline through a structured, company-wide approach to business development.
- Build senior relationships with priority clients, prospective customers, strategic partners and industry contacts.
- Work with senior and operational teams to identify, qualify and progress significant commercial opportunities.
- Identify new sectors, partnerships, routes to market and opportunities to deepen existing customer relationships.
- Lead Maydencroft's marketing across digital, content, events, PR and other relevant channels.
- Strengthen the company's brand, positioning and profile within priority markets.
- Oversee the website, digital presence, campaigns and lead-generation activity.
- Lead the development of high-value case studies, thought leadership, sector campaigns and sales materials.
- Develop Maydencroft's approach to CRM, lead management and commercial pipeline visibility.
- Establish clear processes for capturing, qualifying and progressing opportunities, improving CRM adoption and commercial data quality.
- Own performance measurement across lead quality, pipeline, conversion, revenue contribution and return on investment.
- Provide clear reporting, insight and recommendations to the Leadership Team.
- Direct external marketing and specialist resource and recommend how the function should evolve as Maydencroft grows.

About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Significant experience in a senior B2B marketing, business development or commercially focused growth role.
- A strong track record of developing strategies that contribute to measurable commercial growth.
- Strong understanding of B2B marketing, lead generation and relationship-led business development.
- Commercial judgement and the ability to prioritise the opportunities most likely to create value.
- Experience using CRM, pipeline and performance data to improve commercial decision-making.
- The credibility to work effectively with senior leaders, operational teams and technical specialists.
- Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Experience managing agencies, suppliers or specialist partners.
You will be commercially minded, pragmatic and comfortable setting priorities, challenging constructively and building structure within a growing organisation.
Experience within the environmental, landscape, construction, infrastructure, professional services or another relationship-led B2B sector would be beneficial but is not essential.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to Maydencroft locations and client sites is required.

The role will work closely with the Leadership Team, operational specialists and existing external marketing support, with the opportunity to recommend the appropriate future mix of internal and external resource as the function develops
The Package
- Full-time, permanent.
- Hybrid role
- Annual salary £55,000 - £65,000 (dependent on experience)
