Head of Marketing & Communications - Worcestershire County Cricket Club
About Worcestershire County Cricket Club:
Worcestershire County Cricket Club is one of the 18 first-class county cricket clubs in England and Wales, with a proud history stretching back more than 155 years.
Our vision is to become Worcestershire’s premier destination for live sport, entertainment and hospitality, whilst providing great experiences for everyone who engages with the Club.
We are entering an exciting period of growth, with ambitious plans to grow our audiences, revenues and profile both on and off the field.
From filling New Road and growing our membership to reaching millions of people through digital content, developing our brands and attracting new audiences to cricket, marketing and communications will play a fundamental role in the next stage of the Club’s development.
We are passionate about our people and strive to create a welcoming, ambitious and supportive working environment that provides opportunities for our people to achieve their personal and professional goals.
Our values of Trust, Inclusiveness, Kindness, Resilience and Togetherness resonate across everything we do and define our culture and behaviours.
The Impact You'll Make:
As Head of Marketing & Communications, you will lead the Club’s marketing, brand, communications and content strategy, with responsibility for strengthening the Worcestershire and Worcestershire Rapids brands and delivering measurable commercial impact.
Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will take the lead on how the Club attracts, engages, converts and retains supporters, members and customers, ensuring marketing activity directly supports ticketing, membership, hospitality, retail, venue and commercial partnerships.
This is a strategic but hands-on leadership role, combining creative thinking with commercial judgement and data-led decision making. You will lead the Marketing & Communications team while remaining close to delivery, helping build the Club’s profile locally, nationally and internationally.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
