Role Purpose
The Head of Marketing Communications is responsible for developing and implementing the organisation's UK & international marketing strategy to support business growth, market expansion and brand leadership within the blue-green infrastructure sector.
This includes all marketing communication activities across international markets, ensuring effective positioning of the organisation, its solutions and expertise to key customer and stakeholder groups. The role is accountable for brand management, value proposition articulation, market engagement, demand generation, customer engagement, thought leadership and marketing performance.
The post holder will work closely with commercial, sales, technical, product & innovation and leadership teams to identify voice of customer & growth opportunities, support market development and strengthen the organisation's position as a recognised leader in sustainable water management and blue-green infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the international marketing strategy, translating business objectives into clear annual plans, budgets, priorities and measurable performance targets.
- Lead the organisation's brand strategy and positioning, ensuring consistent messaging and standards across markets while continually building brand awareness and reputation.
- Develop compelling value propositions, content and thought leadership that showcase our expertise and strengthen our position within blue-green infrastructure and sustainable water management.
- Create and deliver integrated demand generation and digital marketing campaigns that support lead generation, pipeline growth, customer acquisition and wider commercial objectives.
- Work collaboratively with commercial teams to identify customer needs, market opportunities and opportunities for expansion into new territories.
- Build strong relationships with industry bodies, trade associations, strategic partners and other key stakeholders, representing the organisation at relevant events and industry forums.
- Coordinate marketing activity across international markets, ensuring campaigns are effectively localised while maintaining consistent global brand standards.
- Establish clear marketing KPIs and reporting, using performance data and commercial insight to evaluate campaign effectiveness, return on investment and contribution to business growth.
- Manage marketing budgets, external agencies and suppliers, ensuring resources are focused effectively against business priorities.

Key Skills and Experience
- Significant experience in a senior marketing leadership role, including responsibility for international markets and developing successful marketing strategies.
- Previous experience within infrastructure, environmental services, water management, engineering, construction or a closely related sector.
- A strong understanding of blue-green infrastructure and sustainable drainage solutions.
- Proven experience across brand management, demand generation, digital marketing and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to connect marketing activity to measurable commercial outcomes.
- Experience working within a multi-site or international organisation, with the ability to adapt marketing activity for different territories and audiences.
- Strong leadership and people management experience, alongside excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
- Experience managing marketing budgets, agencies and external partners, with good financial and commercial awareness.
- A CIM qualification or equivalent, alongside a self-motivated, organised and collaborative approach.
