Head of Marketing Communications

Based in Birmingham, you'll oversee the day-to-day marketing efforts for a professional services organisation. This role involves leading the development and execution of communication strategies to support business objectives effectively.

An SME accountancy practice with offices in central Birmingham.

Description

The key responsibilities for the Head of Marketing Communications role will include:

  • Develop and implement marketing communication strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Manage external agency partners.
  • Management of 1 direct report.
  • Oversee content creation for various channels, including digital, print, and social media.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and suppliers to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Lead the planning and execution of campaigns to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Analyse and report on campaign performance, providing insights for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
  • Supervise and mentor marketing team members, fostering their professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company guidelines in all communications.

Profile

A successful Head of Marketing Communications should have:

  • 5+ years experience in a Marketing leadership role.
  • Experience within a professional services environment is essential, including financial services, or legal.
  • Previous experience in an accountancy practice is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience managing external marketing agencies.
  • Capable of operating in a multi-channel marcomms role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in using marketing tools and analytics platforms.
  • Strategic thinking with a results-driven approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Job Offer

On offer for the successful candidate:

  • Salary of £60,000, dependent on the level of experience.
  • Hybrid working arrangement - three days in the office, two days from home.
  • Permanent position in central Birmingham.
