Head of Marketing – Digital B2C
About the Role
We are recruiting a Head of Marketing for a successful digital B2C business entering an exciting period of growth and transformation.
As the organisation’s most senior marketing professional, you will own the end-to-end marketing strategy and lead a team of approximately 10 across Performance Marketing, CRM and Content.
Reporting to a member of the senior leadership team and working closely with a wider group marketing function, you will be responsible for accelerating customer acquisition, strengthening retention and customer lifetime value, and developing the company’s brand strategy.
This is a highly commercial leadership role for someone who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-moving consumer environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and own the overall marketing strategy, aligning it with the company’s commercial objectives and growth plans.
- Lead, coach and develop three senior direct reports: Head of Performance Marketing, Head of CRM and Senior Content Manager.
- Provide direction and oversight to a multidisciplinary marketing team of approximately 10 people.
- Establish clear objectives, OKRs and performance measures, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Own the marketing budget, commercial KPIs, forecasting and media-investment strategy.
- Drive efficient customer acquisition across paid media, SEO, affiliate marketing and other performance channels.
- Strengthen CRM, lifecycle marketing and retention strategies to improve engagement, repeat purchase and customer lifetime value.
- Use customer, channel and commercial data to evaluate performance, identify growth opportunities and guide investment decisions.
- Develop and evolve the company’s brand strategy, positioning and proposition.
- Lead integrated campaigns across digital and offline channels, potentially including television and other through-the-line activity.
- Oversee content and customer-engagement strategies across the full customer journey.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, agency partners and the wider group marketing team.
- Act as the senior marketing voice within the leadership team, influencing wider commercial decisions and business strategy.

What You’ll Bring
- Experience leading a marketing function or substantial multidisciplinary marketing team within a digital-first B2C business.
- Strong strategic capability, with evidence of translating commercial objectives into an effective marketing strategy.
- A proven track record of driving customer growth through performance marketing and digital acquisition.
- Significant experience of CRM, lifecycle marketing, retention and customer lifetime value.
- Commercial ownership of meaningful marketing budgets, KPIs and investment decisions.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use customer and performance data to make informed decisions.
- Experience leading and developing both analytical and creative marketing specialists.
- Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the credibility to influence at leadership level.
- A collaborative and adaptable leadership style, with a passion for developing people and building high-performing teams.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment where priorities can evolve quickly.

Highly Desirable
- Experience developing or evolving a brand strategy.
- Affiliate-marketing experience.
- Experience delivering integrated or through-the-line campaigns, including television.
- Experience working in a scale-up, transformation or post-acquisition environment.
- A background in eCommerce, marketplaces, consumer technology, travel, fintech, subscriptions or another relevant digital consumer sector.
