💻 Role
As Head of Marketing, France, you will own and scale demand growth in one of our most strategic markets, defining how we win in France and making it happen.
You will operate as the marketing lead for France: identifying what the market needs, setting priorities, and driving execution across multiple levers to unlock growth, while guiding and developing a team of marketers on the ground. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role for a senior marketer who thrives in ambiguous environments and wants to directly shape business performance.
🎯 What You’ll Own
Market Growth & Strategy
- Own buyer growth in France, defining and executing the right marketing approach to drive first-time buyers and repeat engagement
- Identify the key blockers to growth and define the most effective marketing interventions, using existing levers or introducing new approaches where needed
- Set clear priorities and focus our efforts on the highest-impact opportunities
Cross-Channel Execution
- Drive marketing initiatives across influencer, paid, partnerships, and events - ensuring each lever contributes effectively to growth
- Shape and guide the production of marketing content and campaigns in France, ensuring they are locally relevant, high-quality, and effective across the funnel
- Define when and how to leverage digital and in-person events as growth drivers, focusing on high-impact opportunities

Creator & Ecosystem Development
- Manage and further scale the influencer team to build and scale a strong creator ecosystem in France
- Ensure creator and influencer efforts translate into measurable business impact across the marketing funnel
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work closely with category and creative teams to align on priorities and drive execution
- Directly manage a team of France-focused marketers and ensure high-quality execution across initiatives
- Act as the connective tissue across teams, ensuring clarity, momentum, and accountability
Brand & Market Development
- Contribute to improving awareness, brand perception and trust in France
- Identify and test relevant top-of-funnel opportunities to strengthen market presence over time
We offer flexibility to work from home or from one of our global office hubs, and we value in-person time for planning, problem-solving, and connection. Team members in this role must live within commuting distance of either our London, UK or Berlin, Germany hubs.

People who do well at Whatnot tend to be comfortable figuring things out as they go, biased toward action, and genuinely curious about what they're building. They care more about outcomes than credit and stay close to the product and the people using it.
As a senior marketer, you should have a proven track record of driving measurable growth and business impact in France, plus;
- Experience working across multiple marketing levers (e.g. paid, influencer, partnerships, content, events) and combining them effectively
- Strong judgment and prioritisation skills: able to focus on the highest-impact opportunities in a fast-moving environment
- Strong instinct for what resonates in the German market, with the ability to guide high-quality, locally relevant marketing across the funnel
- Comfortable owning outcomes end-to-end and being accountable for results
- Experience managing or mentoring teams, with a focus on driving impact through others
- Able to operate both strategically and hands-on when needed
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken) with a deep understanding of the German market, including cultural dynamics and consumer behaviour
- Pragmatic, low ego, and adaptable
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments where the playbook doesn’t yet exist
- Motivated by impact and excited to build

Parental Leave
16 weeks of paid parental leave + one month gradual return to work *company leave allowances run concurrently with country leave requirements which take precedence.
