Head of Marketing

About our Marketing Team

Wayve is looking for its first Head of Marketing to define and lead the global marketing strategy for our AI Driver technology. You’ll turn company and commercial objectives into a clear market position, compelling product narratives and integrated programs that build trust in our technology and support adoption by automotive, technology and mobility partners.

Reporting to the VP of Marketing Communications, you’ll lead product marketing, brand strategy, partner co-marketing, digital marketing, the website, content, events and conferences. You’ll initially manage a team of approximately four spanning product marketing, digital, marketing operations, design and web, while working closely with the Head of Communications and leaders across Product, Commercial, Policy and Partnerships.

Your day-to-day

You’ll define Wayve’s global marketing strategy across AI Driver, Robotaxi, automotive/OEM and safety audiences, connecting business priorities to clear audiences, positioning, programs and measurable outcomes.

You’ll operate as both a senior marketing leader and a hands-on practitioner—setting strategy and developing your team while personally shaping positioning, challenging briefs and improving execution. You’ll bring together product, brand, digital, content, events and partner marketing into an integrated approach that strengthens Wayve’s position and supports commercial adoption.

What you’ll be working on:

  • Defining Wayve’s marketing strategy across AI Driver, Robotaxi, automotive/OEM and safety audiences, connecting business priorities to clear audiences, positioning, programs and measurable outcomes.
  • Owning product positioning and messaging, translating complex AI and autonomous-driving technology into differentiated, technically credible and commercially relevant narratives.
  • Building trust in Wayve’s technology through evidence-led content, demonstrations, customer stories and integrated campaigns.
  • Establishing Wayve’s brand strategy and ensuring it is consistently applied across campaigns, digital channels, experiences and partnerships.
  • Leading partner co-marketing with automakers, mobility platforms and technology partners, developing shared narratives, launch plans and campaigns that advance both parties’ objectives while maintaining Wayve’s distinct positioning.
  • Owning digital marketing strategy, the website and content engine, using data to improve reach, engagement and conversion.
  • Setting the strategy for conferences and experiential marketing, ensuring investment supports clear company and commercial objectives.
  • Building integrated marketing plans with Communications while maintaining clear ownership: Marketing leads product, brand, digital, content, events and partner marketing; Communications leads corporate narrative, media relations, crisis communications and reputation management.
  • Leading, coaching and developing the marketing team, establishing clear priorities, ownership and decision rights while remaining accountable for delivery quality.
  • Creating transparent operating plans, budgets, KPIs and reporting that give leadership clear visibility into progress, risks and results.
  • Working across Product, Commercial, Partnerships, Policy, Communications and regional teams to secure alignment and deliver cohesive programs.
  • Remaining hands-on in a fast-moving environment, personally shaping positioning, challenging briefs and improving strategy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You should apply if:

  • You have senior marketing leadership experience in a complex, trust-sensitive category such as autonomous technology, enterprise technology, AI, platform businesses or fintech.
  • You bring strong product-marketing and narrative-strategy capabilities, with evidence of translating highly technical products for commercial partners and consumers.
  • You have demonstrated experience building a category and brand across integrated channels, ideally while operating with constrained budgets.
  • You have successfully delivered partner co-marketing with major global organizations while protecting a clear standalone brand position.
  • You bring strong digital, website, content and integrated-campaign capabilities supported by meaningful measurement.
  • You take a commercially minded approach, connecting customer needs, routes to market and partnerships with adoption and business growth.
  • You have hands-on scale-up leadership experience and can set strategy, manage senior stakeholders, coach a small team and drive execution through ambiguity.
  • You demonstrate sound judgment, strong executive communication and the ability to make clear decisions and constructive recommendations.
  • You bring a collaborative, low-ego leadership style and can work effectively alongside Communications and senior technical and commercial stakeholders.

Experience in autonomous vehicles, mobility, automotive technology or another platform or ingredient-brand business is a plus.

Experience building a challenger brand against larger, better-funded competitors is a plus.

Experience marketing internationally across B2B, partner and consumer audiences is a plus.

Experience developing marketing organizations, operating models and teams during rapid growth is a plus.

Not ticking every box? That’s totally okay!

We understand that everyone brings a unique combination of skills and experience. If you’re passionate about self-driving cars and believe you can make a positive impact, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every requirement.

More about Wayve

Wayve is building the leading AI platform for autonomous driving. We are pioneering an end to end AI approach that enables vehicles to learn directly from real world experience, developing the ability to adapt, generalise and improve at scale. Instead of relying on hand coded rules or pre mapped environments, our AI Driver learns to drive by understanding the world around it. The result is technology that navigates complex urban environments with intelligence, precision and natural flow, unlocking meaningful advances in both safety and efficiency.

We believe autonomy represents a once in a generation transformation in how people and goods move, comparable to the shift from horses to cars, and from human driven vehicles to intelligent machines.

Our ambition is to make autonomy universal. Wayve’s mapless and hardware agnostic AI platform integrates with global OEM partners, enabling continuous software evolution and unlocking advanced levels of automation from L2 plus through to L4 as our core AI model scales. In a race increasingly defined by intelligence and real world learning, Wayve is taking a distinct approach, building a generalisable driving intelligence that can power any vehicle, anywhere. By combining embodied AI with scalable deployment, we are creating technology that can be shaped to each OEM brand and driver experience, accelerating the transition to a safer, more intelligent future of mobility.
