Head of Marketing Vacancy – Southampton, UK
About Us
Oyster Yachts is a world-renowned British luxury yacht builder, celebrated for crafting some of the finest bluewater sailing yachts available today. Since 1973, we have combined exceptional design, engineering and craftsmanship to create yachts capable of taking their owners anywhere in the world.
With a global footprint across the UK, Europe and the United States, Oyster supports its owners throughout the entire life of their yacht, from new and used yacht sales to refit, after-sales care, technical support and training. We are also renowned for creating exceptional owner experiences, including the Oyster World Rally and Explorers Club.
The Role
As Head of Marketing, you will lead the development and execution of Oyster's global marketing strategy, driving brand awareness, customer engagement and commercial growth across the marine and luxury sectors.
Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for evolving Oyster's unique brand positioning and ensuring our heritage, bluewater expertise, world adventure capabilities and exceptional owner experience are consistently brought to life across every customer touchpoint.
Working closely with Sales, Design, Aftersales and Senior Leadership, you will lead a high-performing marketing team and oversee integrated campaigns across digital, PR, social media, content, events, partnerships and international boat shows.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused marketing leader to shape the next chapter of one of the world's most recognised luxury sailing yacht brands.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global marketing strategy to strengthen Oyster's brand position, support sales and increase market share
- Work closely with senior leadership to align marketing activity with business goals and revenue targets
- Lead global marketing campaigns and new product launches, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging
- Develop targeted marketing initiatives to promote Oyster's comprehensive range of Service offerings and generate additional revenue streams
- Lead market research to identify customer insights, opportunities and emerging trends
- Safeguard and evolve Oyster's brand identity across digital, PR, print, events and partnerships
- Develop compelling content strategies showcasing Oyster's yachts, performance, design, adventures, owner stories and lifestyle appeal
- Oversee digital strategy, website performance, SEO, social media, paid media and CRM activity
- Lead PR activity and develop strategic relationships with luxury, lifestyle and marine media
- Oversee international boat shows, private views, owner events and lifestyle partnerships
- Develop partnerships with influencers, marine media and relevant luxury brands
- Lead, inspire and develop the marketing team, creating a creative and results-driven culture
- Work closely with Sales, Design and Aftersales to deliver a seamless customer experience and support commercial success
- Manage external agencies and ensure exceptional creative and media delivery
- Define and monitor KPIs, campaign ROI and marketing performance
- Manage the global marketing budget in line with business priorities and commercial objectives

About You
- Proven leadership experience within a senior marketing role, ideally within the marine, luxury or lifestyle sectors
- Strong understanding of brand storytelling, audience segmentation and customer lifecycle management
- Experience developing and delivering successful multi-channel marketing campaigns
- Strong understanding of the luxury marine market and Oyster's client base
- Experience working across international markets and positioning high-value products
- Strong digital marketing, analytics and CRM experience; HubSpot experience would be advantageous
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Strong stakeholder management and project management skills
- Commercially focused and results driven, with the ability to demonstrate marketing ROI
- Experience managing, developing and motivating high-performing teams
- A strategic thinker with excellent attention to detail and decision-making skills
- Creative, influential and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine passion for the marine industry

Qualifications
- Degree educated
- CIM qualification desirable
- Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms desirable
