Head of Marketing - Government, Compliance & Security (GCS) Marketing Team
We're searching for a UK-based Head of Marketing to join our Government, Compliance & Security (GCS) Marketing team, so that we can define and execute the marketing strategy for our OneView business across the maritime, defence, and adjacent government sectors. The Head of GCS Marketing will lead end-to-end marketing – from positioning and content creation through to demand generation and stakeholder engagement – to build sustained pipeline, long-term market presence, and trusted authority in complex, high-trust industries.
How You'll Spend Your Time
- Define and own the marketing strategy for the maritime and defence markets, aligning it to overall business growth objectives and shaping compelling positioning that articulates the value of the OneView Operational Readiness Platform in mission-critical environments.
- Design and execute lead-generation and demand-creation programmes tailored to long-cycle enterprise sales, partnering closely with sales to align campaigns to target accounts, priority sectors, and key buying personas.
- Build and manage account-based and sector-based marketing initiatives to support pipeline creation and deal progression, while translating complex product capabilities into customer-focused narratives that resonate with senior operational, planning, and transformation stakeholders.
- Establish and grow our presence with key industry stakeholders – including defence organisations, maritime operators, partners, analysts, and industry bodies – by owning engagement across events, conferences, roundtables, and thought-leadership forums.
- Lead the creation of high-quality content – including thought-leadership articles, white papers, case studies, sector-specific messaging, webinars, and executive briefings – working with internal subject-matter experts to turn expertise into engaging, accessible material.
- Own the brand narrative and oversee website, digital presence, PR, and marketing communications to ensure consistent messaging, relevance, and clarity across all channels.
- Build and lead a high-performing marketing function, operating effectively in a matrix environment and partnering closely with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure marketing activity reflects delivery reality and customer outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
