Head of Marketing

Confidential multi-brand food operator | West London | 4-day week | £90,000–£100,000 + performance bonus

Build brands people crave. Shape the marketing function. Help double the size of the business.

We are working with a fast-growing UK multi-brand food operator with a portfolio of consumer brands across more than 75 locations nationwide and ambitious plans to expand to 150 sites.

The package

  • £90,000–£100,000 + performance bonus
  • 4-day working week
  • 3 days per week in the West London office

The business is now looking for a commercially sharp, brand-led Head of Marketing to take full ownership of the marketing function and lead the next stage of growth.

This is not a role where you inherit a finished playbook and simply optimise what already exists.

You will set the strategy. Shape the team. Decide where to invest. Build stronger consumer brands.

Improve performance across major delivery marketplaces. And create the marketing engine that supports both customer growth and expansion.

You will report directly to the founders, with genuine autonomy and clear accountability for commercial results.

Your remit

Your world will span three major growth levers:

Make delivery platforms perform harder

The business has significant scale across the major food-delivery marketplaces, and you will own the strategy behind approximately £80k of monthly media spend, promotional planning across more than 75 sites and senior relationships with key platform partners.

A dedicated manager handles day-to-day execution. You will own the direction, economics and outcome.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The goal is to improve efficiency and ROAS while the estate continues to scale.

Build consumer brands with real pull

The ambition is to create brands that customers actively seek out, rather than relying too heavily on paid marketplace visibility.

You will shape distinctive brand identities, build a high-performing content and social engine, test new channels and develop partnerships and collaborations that generate measurable demand.

A key objective will be to grow organic and brand-led demand so the business becomes progressively less dependent on paid acquisition.

Support expansion from 75+ to 150 locations

You will also own the marketing strategy that supports the next phase of estate growth, including positioning, awareness, demand generation and the campaigns and collateral required to attract high-quality partners.

Build the team you need

The structure beneath this role is deliberately flexible.

You will have meaningful influence over how the marketing function is designed, including the mix of platform marketing, brand and content, growth support, permanent hires, freelancers and AI tooling.

Rather than inheriting a rigid structure, you will be expected to build the team around the strategy.

AI-forward, with strong human judgement

The business is integrating AI deeply into how it operates, and marketing will be no different.

They are looking for someone who naturally uses AI to automate repetitive work, increase creative and analytical output and keep the team lean and high-leverage.

At the same time, you will know where human judgement still matters most: brand taste, creative direction, negotiation, relationships and decision-making.

You will probably thrive here if you…

  • Have spent 3+ years at Head of Marketing level or equivalent, leading a team of at least three.
  • Have set marketing strategy yourself rather than simply executing somebody else’s plan.
  • Think commercially and are comfortable being accountable for revenue, ROI and ROAS.
  • Have managed significant paid-media budgets and understand how to improve efficiency at scale.
  • Know how to build brands creatively without relying on huge budgets.
  • Understand digital, social and content deeply enough to distinguish activity from work that genuinely drives demand.
  • Are confident operating with founders, senior partners and cross-functional teams.
  • Use AI as a practical operating tool rather than simply as a buzzword.

Experience in delivery marketplaces, QSR, food delivery, franchising or multi-site businesses would be a major advantage.

What success looks like

Within your first year, success would mean stronger organic demand for the portfolio, more efficient paid acquisition, a stronger growth engine supporting the route to 150 locations, and a marketing team you have shaped that can operate with minimal founder-level oversight.

If you want a senior marketing role where you can genuinely shape the strategy, team and brands, and see the commercial impact of your decisions quickly, we would love to hear from you.
