Head of Marketing

UK | Hybrid - 3 Days in Greater Manchester Office

About the Company

We are looking for an experienced Head of Marketing to lead and develop the marketing function within this growing B2B SaaS technology business.

This is a senior, commercially focused role for someone who can develop a clear marketing strategy while remaining highly hands-on in execution. You'll work closely with senior Sales and Product leadership to ensure marketing activity directly supports business growth.

The successful candidate will be comfortable operating within a niche, technical B2B environment, understanding a defined customer market and developing marketing strategies that turn industry insight into qualified sales opportunities.

This is an opportunity to take real ownership of the marketing function and have a significant influence on the company's next stage of growth.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and own the overall marketing strategy in line with company growth and revenue objectives.
  • Build a clear marketing roadmap across brand, demand generation, product marketing, content, digital and events.
  • Work closely with senior Sales and Product leadership to align marketing activity with commercial priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to increase brand awareness, market penetration and qualified pipeline.
  • Establish and continually improve marketing processes, priorities and ways of working.
  • Balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution in a fast-moving scale-up environment.

Product Marketing

  • Own product positioning, messaging and value propositions across different customer segments and channels.
  • Translate complex technical products and solutions into clear, compelling customer-facing messaging.
  • Develop sales enablement materials including sales decks, presentations, case studies and supporting collateral.
  • Work closely with Product teams and customers to understand market needs and translate feedback into marketing strategy.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer personas, buying journeys, pain points and competitive positioning.
  • Support product launches and go-to-market activity.
  • Create compelling product marketing content that differentiates the business within a competitive market.

Demand Generation & Digital Marketing

  • Develop and execute multi-channel campaigns designed to generate high-quality Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and sales pipeline.
  • Oversee digital channels including SEO, SEM, email, social media and content.
  • Develop content strategies that establish the company as an authority within its specialist market.
  • Use marketing automation and technology to improve campaign performance and lead generation.
  • Work with external agencies and partners where appropriate to deliver campaigns and PR activity.
  • Continually test, measure and optimise campaigns based on performance data.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
