Head of Marketing
£60,000 + Bonus Oxford | Hybrid working
Are you a commercially minded marketing leader who knows how to turn multiple channels, teams and ideas into one clear strategy that delivers results?
We are working with an ambitious and growing international B2B events business looking for a Head of Marketing to bring together its marketing activity, raise standards and create high-performing campaigns across a global portfolio.
This is a genuinely influential role. You will sit at the centre of the marketing function, connecting specialist teams and partnering closely with senior commercial and event leaders. You will have the freedom to introduce fresh ideas, improve how campaigns are delivered and directly influence revenue, audience growth and the wider direction of the business.
It is perfect for someone who can think strategically but still loves being close to delivery. You will not simply oversee campaigns from a distance. You will shape the plan, bring people together and take real ownership of the outcome.
What you’ll be doing
- Creating integrated campaigns across email, social media, web, content and paid channels
- Bringing different marketing disciplines together around one clear strategy and set of objectives
- Partnering with event and commercial teams to ensure campaigns support revenue and audience targets
- Leading the delivery of multiple international campaigns from planning through to execution
- Tracking performance across registrations, lead generation, conversion and engagement
- Using campaign data to identify opportunities and continuously improve results
- Introducing stronger processes, new ideas and marketing best practice across the function
- Overseeing external partnerships, affiliates, associations and other audience growth opportunities
- Coaching and developing a talented marketing team
- Attending selected events in the UK and internationally

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
