Fluent
Fluent builds ultra-low-latency FX connectivity, trading and distribution technology for banks and market makers. Our clients include blue-chip global banks, and we've been recognised by the industry for connectivity and latency. We're now expanding into new regions, a wider range of banks and new asset classes. To support this momentum, we need a visionary marketing leader to build the function from the ground up.
The role
You will own marketing at Fluent from the start. We are looking for a hands-on, highly strategic leader to set our core narrative, build a high-performing marketing engine, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with our Sales and Product teams.
You’ll be writing, shipping, and actively shaping our brand voice.and you’ll build the team and agency set-up as the business grows.
Key responsibilities
Positioning and narrative
- Turn our current positioning work into a single core story and message framework that Sales, Marketing and the executive team all use.
- Develop a distinctive, confident brand voice.
- Name and own our key ideas, problems and capabilities, GTM & Demand generation
- Build messaging and content paths for our different bank segments
- Support the launch of our new SaaS offering for regional banks, from positioning and launch plan to demand generation.
- Create a content programme
- Run targeted, content led campaigns across LinkedIn, email, search and events
- Own the website experience, including the content hub, launch pages and conversion paths.

Sales alignment, Operation & PR
- Work with the CRO and sales team on a shared pipeline view, sales collateral, demo and workshop materials, and RFP content.
- Support the US and APAC expansion with regional marketing and local event presence.
- Maximise ROI from industry conferences through rigorous pre- and post-event follow-up
- Build an industry recognition with an awards, PR and analyst relations programme.
- Choose and implement the marketing technology stack (CRM integration, automation, analytics).
- Own the marketing budget, agency and freelancer relationships.

Requirements
- Senior B2B marketing experience in financial technology, capital markets or similarly complex enterprise technology.
- A record of building or substantially rebuilding a marketing function, ideally at a growth-stage firm.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills, with an ability to turn complex technology into a clear argument.
- Experience of content-led demand generation and measuring it against pipeline.
- Credibility with senior technologists and traders, and comfort working directly with the executive team.
- Based in London, with willingness to travel.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of FX, e-trading or banking technology buyers
- Experience launching SaaS or platform products, including in a regulated environment.
- Experience driving international go-to-market, inc the US/APAC.
