HEAD OF MARKETING – HOSPITALITY - 650 per day

Fractional | Initially 1 Day Per Week | UK

We’re looking for an exceptional Head of Marketing to join a growing UK hospitality group, initially on a fractional basis.

This is not a traditional brand-only Head of Marketing role.

We’re looking for someone who combines significant hotel/hospitality experience with genuinely strong technical and digital marketing capability.

The group currently operates four properties, with more in the pipeline, and we need someone who can get under the bonnet of the existing marketing operation, understand what’s working, identify where the opportunities are and set the strategy for the next stage of growth.

You’ll need a strong understanding of the commercial realities of hospitality — including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, direct vs OTA business, booking behaviour and the relationship between marketing, revenue management and distribution.

On the technical side, we’re looking for someone who really understands:

  • Google Ads and Meta
  • Paid search and paid social
  • GA4, tracking and attribution
  • CRM, guest data and lifecycle marketing
  • SEO and GEO / AI search
  • Website performance and conversion optimisation
  • Booking engines and the direct booking journey
  • Marketing technology and integrations
  • AI and marketing automation
  • Reporting, dashboards and ROI

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You don’t need to personally execute every campaign, but you do need to know the platforms, understand the data and be comfortable getting into the detail yourself.

If an agency presents a performance report, you’ll know what questions to ask. If tracking doesn’t look right, you’ll spot it.

If paid media spend is increasing but direct bookings aren’t, you’ll want to understand why. And if the CRM, website, booking engine and wider marketing technology aren't working together properly, you'll know where to start looking.

Alongside that technical capability, you’ll be a senior marketing leader who can set strategy, lead and develop the team, challenge agencies, work closely with commercial leadership and connect marketing investment directly to revenue and ROI.

The initial engagement

This will initially be a fractional engagement of approximately one day per week.

The first priority will be to assess the current marketing operation, team, agencies, technology and performance; establish the biggest commercial opportunities; and create a clear strategy and set of priorities.

From there, we’ll review what the right longer-term marketing leadership structure looks like as the portfolio grows.

Who we're looking for

We’re particularly interested in speaking to people who have held senior marketing or digital roles within hotels, aparthotels or multi-property hospitality businesses.

Your title today might be Head of Marketing, Head of Digital, Group Head of Digital Marketing, Digital Marketing Director, Head of E-commerce or Commercial Marketing Director.

What matters is the combination of:

  • Hospitality depth
  • Technical marketing capability
  • Commercial instinct
  • Senior leadership
