Lead the Marketing Function at The Quran Group

Lead the marketing function at The Quran Group, helping us grow our reach, promote programmes and strengthen our online presence. You’ll develop practical marketing plans, coordinate content and volunteers, and help build a consistent approach to communication.

What Difference Will You Make?

The Quran Group has a growing range of programmes and activities, but stronger and more consistent marketing will help us communicate these opportunities to the right people.

This role will help us move from occasional or ad-hoc promotion towards a more organised marketing function with clear planning, consistent messaging and better coordination between departments.

The volunteer will help increase awareness of our programmes, improve engagement with our online community and support participation from students, volunteers and others who may benefit from our work.

By creating practical marketing systems and coordinating volunteers, the Head of Marketing will also help the organisation build capacity that can continue to grow over time.

What Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone with practical experience or a strong interest in marketing, communications, social media, content creation or public relations. The ideal volunteer should be organised, creative, reliable and able to take ownership of the marketing function.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

They should be comfortable developing marketing ideas and turning them into practical campaigns, planning content and maintaining consistent communication across different platforms. Experience using social media to build awareness and engagement would be valuable.

The volunteer should also be confident working independently and coordinating with other volunteers and departments. Previous experience managing volunteers, projects or marketing activities would be an advantage.

We particularly value someone who can bring structure to the role by planning campaigns, maintaining a content calendar, tracking activities and reviewing what is working.

Good communication, initiative, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively are important. The volunteer should be dependable, respectful and committed to helping The Quran Group increase its reach and engagement.
