Role: Head of Marketing
Location: Nottinghamshire, onsite
Job type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: Up to £80,000 (DOE)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially focused Head of Marketing to join a growing business and lead its marketing and digital merchandising function. This role will be responsible for driving online performance, leading a high-performing team, and developing strategies that enhance customer engagement, conversion rates, and revenue growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on marketing leader who combines strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen and a passion for digital performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the overall marketing and digital merchandising strategy.
- Set the direction for all online categories and product ranges, ensuring a best-in-class customer experience.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Marketing Executives, creating a high-performance team culture.
- Own digital merchandising activities, including product presentation, categorisation, and online trading initiatives.
- Drive sales growth through effective product placement, promotional activity, cross-selling, and upselling strategies.
- Manage the trading calendar, coordinating product launches, seasonal campaigns, and key promotional events.
- Ensure content accuracy across all digital platforms, including product imagery, descriptions, pricing, and categorisation.
- Analyse sales, traffic, and conversion data to identify opportunities and improve performance.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure marketing campaigns support trading and merchandising priorities.
- Oversee website content and CMS processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer behaviour to inform strategic decisions.
- Report on performance metrics and provide recommendations to senior leadership.

- Proven experience in a Head of Marketing, Senior Marketing Manager, Ecommerce Manager, Digital Trading Manager, or similar leadership role.
- Strong experience driving digital marketing, ecommerce, online trading, and merchandising strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing marketing teams.
- Commercially minded with a strong understanding of conversion optimisation and customer acquisition.
- Experienced in using analytics and performance data to drive decision-making and growth.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
- Experienced in managing trading calendars, campaigns, and digital content platforms.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of ecommerce, retail, consumer products, or B2C environments would be highly advantageous.
