Job Title: Head of Materials Management & Planning

Role Summary
Celeros Flow Technology is seeking a Head of Materials Management & Planning for the Cathcart Manufacturing Facility. This role involves strategic oversight and management of all materials-related activities, collaborating with various teams to ensure timely procurement and effective utilization of materials.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead a dedicated team to execute the site materials plan meeting customer requirements
- Develop and implement materials management strategies aligned with project requirements and organizational goals
- Analyze project demands and forecast material needs based on production schedules and lead times
- Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of materials
- Implement best practices for inventory turnover and minimize excess stock while avoiding shortages
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance materials management efficiency
- Lead and mentor the materials management team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Develop training programs to enhance the team's skills in materials management and supply chain processes
- Ensure ERP master data integrity and review this regularly
- Where slippages occur, ensure steps are taken and communicated to the Site Lead and relevant functional leads with a recovery plan
- Responsible for reporting Materials related metrics to the organization
Essential Skills
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, business, management, or related discipline. Masters in related field would be desirable.
- Strong background in the management of materials and sourcing within a design and manufacturing environment
- Experience in total quality, six sigma, or similar environments
- Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP or Oracle) and their use in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- Ability to demonstrate solid written and oral communication skills
- ASCM (formally APICS) certification (CPIM or CSCP) or equivalent
- Ability to obtain a security clearance is essential

Physical Demands
- Required daily to stand, sit, walk, talk, hear, and see (specific close vision abilities are required to perform computer work)
