Head of Maths

Location: Hertfordshire

Salary: MPS4 – UPS3 Fringe + TLR (£12,960)

Contract: Permanent

Start Date: January or April Start

An ambitious and forward-thinking secondary school in Hertfordshire is seeking an exceptional Head of Maths to lead a successful department from January. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Head of Maths who is passionate about raising achievement, inspiring young people, and developing an outstanding maths curriculum.

The school has built a strong reputation for academic excellence, excellent behavior, and a supportive staff culture. The Role - Head of Maths

As Head of Maths, you will:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Maths department
  • Drive outstanding teaching and learning across Key Stages 3–5
  • Support and develop teachers within the department
  • Use data effectively to raise attainment and progress
  • Promote a love of mathematics across the school community
  • Play a key role within the wider leadership of the school
