We are seeking to appoint an experienced, ambitious, and highly effective Maths Subject Leader from January 2027. The successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge and high expectations. This is a highly successful school with an exceptionally low staff turnover. This role is a unique opportunity for an experienced/ambitious teacher seeking a new and rewarding challenge.
Wolgarston is recognised as a very successful school locally, last year we were one of the top schools in Staffordshire with an average A level grade of a B and A* in Further Maths. Maths and Further Maths are very successful courses. At Key Stage 4 our attainment 8 score was 4.8 which was above the national average. 78% of our students achieved a grade 4+ in Maths, 57% of our students achieved a grade 5+ and 20% of the cohort achieving a grade 7+.

All staff working in the School during the school day will have contact with children and will therefore be in regulated activity.
