Head of Media - Luton Town Football Club
About Luton Town Football Club
Founded in 1885, Luton Town Football Club is one of English football’s most historic clubs, with deep roots in its community and a proud identity at Kenilworth Road. As the club prepares for the next phase of its journey, with the development of the new 25,000-seat Power Court stadium, Luton Town is entering an exciting period of growth and transformation both on and off the pitch.
As part of this next phase, Luton Town is looking for a Head of Media to lead its wider media, communications and content strategy, helping shape how the Club tells its story and engages audiences both internally and externally.
The Impact You'll Make
As Head of Media, you will lead the Club’s media, communications and content strategy across its non-football operations, spanning commercial partnerships, retail, ticketing, hospitality, community initiatives, our new stadium development - Power Court, and corporate affairs.
You will play a key role in developing how the Club communicates with its different audiences, creating integrated content and storytelling campaigns that strengthen the brand, engage supporters and support wider commercial objectives.
Alongside external communications, you will lead the Club’s internal communications function and develop the existing media and content team, working closely with senior leadership and departments across the organisation to deliver a joined-up approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Club’s media and communications strategy across its non-football operations, aligned with wider commercial, community, corporate and people priorities.
- Develop integrated campaigns and storytelling that strengthen the Luton Town brand, engage supporters and support commercial objectives.
- Lead and develop the club's media and content team, overseeing planning, production, editorial standards, and performance across owned and internal channels, managing agency, freelance and production relationships as required.
- Own and develop internal communications, ensuring staff are informed, engaged and connected to the Club’s priorities and direction.
- Manage proactive media relations and reputation management, acting as the primary communications lead for the club's business operations and securing consistent, positive coverage across local, national and industry media.
- Work collaboratively with the Football Communications Lead to ensure a joined-up approach across football and non-football communications.
- Partner with commercial, ticketing, retail, hospitality and other teams to ensure content and communications support audience and revenue growth.
- Provide strategic communications counsel to senior leadership, supporting executive messaging, all-staff communications, crisis communications, stakeholder engagement, and high-profile club announcements to protect and enhance the club's reputation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
