Seeking an Entrepreneurial, Hands-On Head of Membership to Grow PWN London’s Community and Premium Membership
You’ll be a self-starter who builds from the ground up, drives engagement and conversion, attends events, and takes real ownership of membership growth.
What Difference Will You Make?
The Head of Membership will play a critical role in the growth, sustainability, and long-term impact of PWN London.
Membership sits at the heart of our organisation. A stronger, more engaged membership base allows us to deliver better programmes, create more meaningful events, build stronger corporate partnerships, and generate the income required to sustain and expand our work.
This role will help PWN London move from having a broad community to building a highly engaged network of professionals, entrepreneurs, leaders, and allies who actively participate in the organisation and see clear value in remaining connected to it.
A key priority for the Head of Membership will be increasing the number of Premium Members. This will directly support PWN London’s financial sustainability while also creating a stronger core community of people who are more deeply engaged with our events, programmes, mentoring, and leadership opportunities.
The role will also improve retention. By introducing stronger onboarding, regular member engagement, personalised communication, feedback mechanisms, and renewal activity, the Head of Membership will help ensure that members feel recognised, supported, and connected throughout their journey with PWN London.
The position will also strengthen collaboration across the organisation. Membership is closely linked to Events, Marketing, Corporate Partnerships, and Programmes. By working across these functions, the Head of Membership will help ensure that events generate new members, communications encourage conversion, partnerships create membership opportunities, and programmes contribute to long-term engagement.
The role will also provide the Board with better insight into our community through clearer membership data, engagement tracking, feedback, and reporting. This will allow PWN London to make more informed decisions about what our members value and where we should invest our limited volunteer resources.
Ultimately, this role will help PWN London build a stronger, more sustainable, and more connected professional community, supporting our ambition to become a leading network for balanced leadership in London and to increase the number of women and allies benefiting from our work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Is able to delegate effectively, develop others, and create a structure that does not depend on one individual.
- Takes ownership, follows through on commitments, and communicates progress clearly to the Board.
Experience of professional networks, membership organisations, women’s leadership, entrepreneurship, or community building would be valuable.
The most important qualities are commercial instinct, initiative, relationship-building ability, leadership, and execution. We are looking for someone who is excited by growth, enjoys engaging with people, and wants to build a strong, high-performing membership community around PWN London.
