If you're the kind of person who looks at disconnected systems, manual processes and complex reporting challenges and immediately starts thinking about how to make them better, this could be your next move.

At Orbital South Colleges Group, we're looking for a strategic and forward-thinking Head of MIS – Systems and Reporting to lead the development of our systems, reporting infrastructure and digital platforms across East Surrey College and John Ruskin College.

This is more than a traditional MIS role. You'll be responsible for shaping how data, systems and technology work together across the organisation, ensuring leaders have the information they need to make informed decisions whilst maintaining compliance with funding, audit, safeguarding and regulatory requirements.

You'll lead the strategic oversight of all College systems, including student records, HR, finance, payroll, timetabling, digital platforms and SharePoint. Working closely with senior leaders, you'll drive systems integration, digital transformation and reporting improvements, develop business intelligence solutions, implement workflow automation and support the adoption of technologies that improve efficiency and user experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
