We are looking for a strategic and commercially minded Head of Mobility Product Management to lead the global direction of our Mobility portfolio. This is an opportunity to shape mission-critical communication solutions used by healthcare professionals and other frontline workers around the world.

The opportunity
As the global business owner for Ascom’s Mobility portfolio, you will define what we build, why we build it and how it creates value for customers. Working closely with R&D, Sales, Marketing, Strategic Alliances and regional teams, you will translate customer needs and market opportunities into innovative products and profitable growth.
This highly visible global leadership role combines strategic thinking, customer engagement, innovation, commercial accountability and team leadership.

- Myco smart devices
- DECT and VoWiFi handsets
- Paging solutions
- Alarm management capabilities
- Personal safety solutions
- Mobility software and associated cloud services
What you'll be responsible for
Define and drive the portfolio strategy
- Develop and maintain the long-term vision and strategy for the Mobility portfolio.
- Identify growth opportunities, emerging technologies, market adjacencies and disruptive trends.
- Translate business strategy into product investments and roadmap priorities.
- Ensure the portfolio strengthens Ascom’s competitive position in the market.
Own the global roadmap
- Lead the global Mobility roadmap and portfolio prioritisation process.
- Evaluate customer needs, market opportunities and investment proposals.
- Balance innovation with customer requirements, cybersecurity, sustainability and lifecycle considerations.
- Drive informed product decisions supported by data, customer insight and business value.
Deliver commercial success
- Support portfolio revenue growth, profitability and market-share objectives.
- Develop and evaluate business cases for strategic investments.
- Guide pricing, packaging, migration and lifecycle decisions.
- Monitor product performance and drive profitable portfolio evolution.

Represent customers and the market
- Build trusted relationships with customers, partners and industry stakeholders.
- Lead market intelligence and competitive analysis activities.
- Identify trends shaping mobility, communications, connected devices and personal safety solutions.
- Ensure customer and market needs are reflected throughout the product lifecycle.
Lead product definition and innovation
- Oversee market requirements and product requirements.
- Champion customer-focused discovery, user experience and validation activities.
- Ensure product investments solve meaningful customer problems.
- Partner with R&D and architecture teams to transform strategy into deliverable solutions.
Manage portfolio lifecycle excellence
- Guide products through introduction, growth, maturity and retirement.
- Develop sustainable lifecycle, migration and portfolio simplification strategies.
- Align portfolio decisions with operational, quality and supply-chain considerations.
- Continuously improve product management processes and governance.
Enable successful launches
- Work with Marketing, Sales, Services and customer-facing teams to support successful global launches.
- Ensure sales enablement, training, documentation, technical support and service readiness.
- Act as an ambassador for the Mobility portfolio internally and externally.
- Support key customer opportunities and strategic bids.
Build and develop the team
- Lead, coach and develop Product Managers across the Mobility domain.
- Build product management capabilities, best practices and effective ways of working.
- Foster collaboration, innovation and customer-centred, data-informed decision-making.
- Create an environment where diverse perspectives contribute to better products and decisions.
What we're looking for

Essential experience
- Senior product leadership experience within a technology-driven organisation.
- A strong record of defining product strategy and translating it into measurable business outcomes.
- Experience managing complex portfolios across hardware, software and services.
- Strong commercial and financial judgement, including business case development and investment prioritisation.
- Experience in roadmap governance, product lifecycle management and portfolio decision-making.
- The ability to work closely with engineering, commercial and customer-facing teams.
- Clear, credible communication and the ability to influence in a global matrix organisation.
- Experience leading, coaching and developing product management teams.
