Head of National Accounts (12-Month Fixed-Term)

dnata Ground Handling & Cargo UK

✈️ Shape the future of some of the UK's most important airline partnerships.

We're looking for an experienced commercial professional to join dnata Ground Handling & Cargo UK as our Head of National Accounts on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract.

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of strategically important airline customers, acting as the senior commercial point of contact and trusted partner for some of our most valuable relationships. You'll play a pivotal role in driving customer retention, identifying growth opportunities, leading complex negotiations, and ensuring dnata continues to deliver exceptional value across our ground handling and cargo operations.

Working closely with Commercial, Finance, Operations, and our Executive Leadership Team, you'll influence customer strategy, shape commercial solutions, and support sustainable revenue growth across the business.

What you'll bring

  • ✔ Significant experience in strategic account management, ideally within aviation, ground handling, cargo, logistics, travel, or a similarly complex commercial environment.
  • ✔ A proven track record of leading tenders, contract renewals, and high-value commercial negotiations involving multiple stakeholders.
  • ✔ The ability to build credibility and influence at senior customer level, establishing trusted and lasting partnerships.
  • ✔ Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing pipelines, forecasts, and performance metrics through CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • ✔ Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of articulating value and influencing cross-functional teams.
  • ✔ A proactive, resilient, and results-driven approach, with the ability to navigate challenges and deliver under pressure.
  • ✔ Experience managing complex commercial matters, customer escalations, and strategic business opportunities.
