Role Description
The Head of Network is a full-time, on-site role based in London. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Zuba’s network infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Leading network architecture initiatives
- Overseeing network operations
- Establishing standards and best practices for network performance and resilience

The Head of Network will manage and mentor a technical team, collaborate with security and engineering stakeholders, troubleshoot complex issues, and support the rollout of new financial infrastructure services.

Additional responsibilities include:
- Capacity planning
- Vendor management
- Continuous improvement of monitoring, incident response, and documentation
Qualifications
- Strong Network Design and Network Administration skills to build and maintain robust, scalable infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Network Security, including implementing policies, controls, and best practices to protect sensitive financial systems.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to diagnose complex network issues, optimize performance, and inform strategic decisions.
- Demonstrated Team Management capabilities, including leading cross-functional initiatives and mentoring technical staff.
- Extensive experience with enterprise networking technologies (routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers) and cloud or hybrid environments.
- Background in high-availability, low-latency systems, ideally within financial services or similarly regulated industries.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience; relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, CISSP) are an advantage.
