About the Role

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Electricity Network Operations professional with 132kV experience to join a growing utilities business in a senior leadership role where you'll have genuine influence over how its network operations function develops.

This is a newer business at an exciting stage of growth, with an expanding electricity network and ambitious plans for the future. You'll take overall responsibility for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the network, overseeing network control, maintenance, fault response and performance whilst helping develop the systems, standards and processes needed to support continued growth. The position also carries designated Control Engineer responsibility for switching, fault response and real-time network operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the safe and efficient operation of the electricity network
  • Lead network control, switching, fault response and outage management
  • Develop maintenance and network management strategies, including SCADA
  • Drive network reliability, resilience, compliance and operational performance
  • Manage contractors, budgets and relationships with customers, developers and regulators

Requirements

  • Strong background in electricity distribution / network operations
  • Experience operating networks at 132kV
  • Strong understanding of HV/EHV switching, network safety and fault response
  • Authorised Person (AP) status
  • Experience with SCADA / network control systems and operational leadership
