Erased Tapes Music is an independent and artist-focused music company, founded in 2011 as the publishing arm of Erased Tapes Records. Erased Tapes Music represents an internationally acclaimed roster of contemporary composers and a catalogue of music which includes recordings by artists including Nils Frahm, Rival Consoles, Kiasmos, Hatis Noit, Penguin Cafe, Sheherazaad, The Art Ensemble of Chicago, Anne Müller, and Tyondai Braxton.

We are seeking a forward-thinking and driven candidate to represent the Erased Tapes brand and artists globally in a client-facing role. The candidate will be responsible for seeking out new business and opportunities for the Erased Tapes artists across sync, bespoke scoring, artist collaborations, and more. The candidate will play a key role in growing the Erased Tapes Music brand through proactive outreach and help to expand the Erased Tapes network of clients across multiple sectors.

The candidate will be a self-starting, energetic individual with an existing global network of relevant contacts across multiple disciplines, from film & television to fashion, dance, advertising, and beyond, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar client-facing position. An enthusiasm to support artists within the independent sector and a proven passion for sync, contemporary, and classical music is essential.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • New business research and proactive outreach to seek new opportunities globally for the Erased Tapes roster across sync licensing, bespoke scoring, artist collaborations, and more
  • Develop and nurture new and existing client relationships
  • Coordinate and host weekly client meetings and in-person listening sessions both within the UK and internationally
  • Work closely with the team in responding to client sync and scoring briefs
  • Analyse pitch and sync trends
  • Foster a collaborative team culture
  • Coordinate live show guest lists, manage invitations, and host clients at shows
  • Attend events, conferences, and networking events
  • Develop the Erased Tapes Music brand through client-facing outreach, digital communication, and marketing strategies

Required Experience & Skills

  • At least 5 years working in a similar client-facing role and a strong understanding of client needs within the music for media landscape
  • Proven experience in sales or business development
  • Confidence presenting and pitching artists and catalogue directly to clients
  • Existing network of contacts in multiple disciplines (Film, Television, Video Games, Advertising, Trailers, Dance, Fashion, Theatre, Installation Art, etc.)
  • Existing network of contacts within the UK and US
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of the Erased Tapes artists and brand
  • A keen interest in sync and entertainment, knowledge of industry trends and emerging opportunities
  • A passion for music, and knowledge of different styles and genres
  • A keen sense of organization and ability to self-manage efficiently
  • Knowledge of music rights

  • Experience managing junior members of staff
  • Experience working with composers on scoring projects
  • Experience working with orchestras on live commissions or concerts
  • Knowledge of audio and video editing software
  • Marketing, digital communication, and social media experience
  • Experience negotiating and working with contracts

Terms & Salary

  • 24 - 40 hours per week, negotiable
  • London E8/E9 (and some remote work)
  • Salary: DOE
