Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Construction of a new team to start 4 new business BDMs. Day-to-day responsibilities including strategy, running of team, hiring, management, commercials, marketing along with identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, building and nurturing relationships with prospective clients, and overseeing the end-to-end sales cycle from initial contact through to contract negotiation and closure. The role involves collaborating closely with senior leadership to align new business initiatives with overall company strategy, creating business plans, and setting measurable growth targets. The Head of New Business will also mentor and guide the sales and business development team, track performance metrics, and provide regular reports and insights to support data-driven decision-making whilst selling themselves.

Key Aspects

  • Commercially minded. You think in terms of margin, growth and the bottom line, not just activity for its own sake.
  • Real industry experience. You've sold VoIP, broadband, mobile and IT to a high standard, and you understand what you're selling inside out.
  • A builder. You've built a sales team from scratch before, because that's exactly what this role needs. There's no team to inherit, you'll create it.
  • Comfortable at every level. You're happy operating at ground level winning deals yourself, while also sitting as part of an operational board of leaders shaping the direction of the business.
