Role Description
The Head of New Business will lead the growth of Guru Technology’s customer base by identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities across target markets. This full-time hybrid role is based in Northampton, with a mix of on-site collaboration and work-from-home flexibility.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Building and managing a high-performing new business pipeline
- Conducting outreach and meetings with prospective clients
- Designing tailored telecom and technology solutions aligned with customer needs
The role will:
- Oversee new business sales strategies
- Set revenue targets
- Collaborate closely with marketing and operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and strong customer experiences
The Head of New Business will also:
- Analyze market trends
- Refine commercial propositions
- Report on performance
- Mentor team members to support sustainable growth
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in New Business Development and Business Development, with a track record of winning and retaining SME clients.
- Strong skills in Business Planning and Business Strategy, including the ability to create growth plans and align them with company objectives.
- Proven Sales experience, particularly in B2B telecoms, IT, or technology services, with the ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with a consultative approach to solution selling.
- Experience leading or mentoring commercial teams, and collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and customer support.
- Comfort with hybrid working, including regular presence at the Northampton office and client visits as needed.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to use data and market insight to inform decisions.

Beneficial qualifications include:
- Experience in the telecoms or IT services sector
- A degree or equivalent experience in business, sales, or a related field
Salary
- £60-£65,000 per annum
- OTE: £40,000 per annum
